Acne is an extremely common skin condition that is caused by excessive oil production in the skin, clogged pores, and the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. Although it improves over the years, having it has a great impact on our self-esteem and can leave scars for life. It never hurts to know some tips for acne, so you can have healthy skin.

Here are some tips to help you fight acne:

1.Do Not Pinch THE AFFECTED AREA!

Doing so hurts your skin, causing it to swell and leaving you with marks and scars that are difficult to remove.

2. Wash Your Face

This is a fundamental step to control acne as it will help keep your pores clean and prevent pimples from forming.

3. Do Not Use Cream

Acne-prone skin is oily, so adding more oil through creams is not recommended. Follow only the treatment recommended by your Dermatologist.

4. Do Not Use Make-Up

Just like creams, liquid or powder makeup adds oil to your skin so it is not recommended to use them, even if they say they are non-comedo genic.

5. Be Patient

Acne will not disappear OVER TIME. Follow these recommendations and the treatment indicated by your Dermatologist and you will gradually see POSITIVE results.

6. Do Not Expose Yourself to the Sun

The inflammation caused by acne makes your skin more sensitive to UV radiation, causing blemishes that can be permanent. Avoid sun exposure and if you do, wear a hat or cap.
